- Annotation: This article examines the rationale for selecting textile materials for developing hybrid craniocorrectors for children with skull deformities. A number of significant shortcomings limiting the accessibility and safety of craniocorrectors for treating pediatric skull deformities are identified. The study was conducted taking into account regulatory requirements governing the hygienic properties of materials in contact with infant skin. The air permeability and hygroscopicity of pre-selected textile materials, as well as bags formed from them, were determined, as these parameters play a crucial role in shaping the microclimate between the craniocorrector and the child's scalp. Based on the analysis, the choice of materials for a multilayer structure was substantiated, ensuring a combination of hygiene, safety, and operational efficiency.
