Annotation: The article presents theoretical aspects of the scale factor influence on the strength properties of textile materials, as well as the results of experiments and calculations related to the use of the energy method for assessing the scale factor influence on the strength properties of the samples studied. It is shown that the specific tensile work is the most sensitive indicator for assessing the scale factor influence on tensile characteristics. Experimental data are provided to compare the scale factor influence determined using the specific tensile work, tensile load, tensile elongation and tensile stress. It is noted that not all textile materials are subject to the scale factor influence. There are a number of materials where the scale factor influence is extremely small or absent altogether from the point of view of mathematical statistics. Recommendations are given for conducting strength tests of textile materials, especially certification tests, to correctly establish the scale factor influence in order to assess the degree of its influence on the strength properties of products during their operation.
