Annotation: The article presents the results of an assessment of the porosity and specific surface area of textile bases intended for the inner layer of a package of filtering protective clothing materials. The relevance of choosing natural textile bases for ensuring moisture exchange, air permeability, and physiological comfort of emergency responders is substantiated. Twill, tarpaulin, and natural materials of the Moleskine S-159 YUG and Moleskine S-174 YUG brands were used as objects of analysis. Industrial analogues of the MMS-T, Form, HZM, and Mitron brands served as objects of comparison. The assessment was performed using the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller and Barrett-Joyner-Halenda methods. It was found that Moleskine S-174 YUG has a maximum pore volume, while twill has the best combination of specific surface area, volume, and pore size characteristics. The obtained results allow us to recommend these materials for the inner layer of filtering protective clothing.
