- Annotation: The quality of products is formed at all stages of the production cycle. The article discusses the issues of forming the quality of goods from sheepskin. For products from sheepskin, it is possible to distinguish levels and stages. Levels include: Raw materials (sheepskin) – Semi-finished products – Product – Commodity. Stages include: processing of raw materials (dressing, finishing) – design and manufacture – implementation. At each stage, input and output quality control is carried out according to the relevant indicators. The paper improves the nomenclature of quality indicators for sheepskin semi-finished products by supplementing the existing indicators with those used to evaluate various clothing materials. It is shown that this nomenclature allows for assessing both the material processability and its consumer properties, ensuring high-quality transition from the “Semi-finished product” level to the “Product” level and creating the necessary conditions for the “Product” level to transition to the “Goods” level.
